The Alternating Pressure Pump and Pad system from Blue Jay provides a hospital and home care solution for distributing pressure and reducing contact stress. The bubble pad measures 78.7 inches in length, 35.4 inches in width, and 2.8 inches in height, with 15.75-inch end flaps that wrap under the mattress for stability. It is built from heavy-gauge medical-grade PVC with a wall thickness of 0.3 mm and supports up to 297.6 pounds. The pad features 96 individual air cells that inflate and deflate in an alternating pattern to modulate load across the torso and hips, aiding bedsore management and comfort.
The included adjustable pressure pump operates at 110 V / 60 Hz and delivers 6 liters per minute of air. It runs a 12-minute alternating cycle and supports a pressure range of 20–120 mmHg.
